Founded in 2008, Neoen is an independent power producer with a long-term vision that translates into a strategy to produce renewable, competitively-priced energy, sustainably and on a large scale. Neoen specialises in three technologies of wind, solar and battery storage.

Their total global capacity in operation and under construction is currently close to 6.6 GW and they are Australia’s leading renewable energy company with ~3 GW of capacity. Canberra is home to one of their two main offices and the 24/7 Operational Control Centre, and there is a strong contingent of ANU alumni in the Neoen team.

Neoen have two grid-scale battery storage projects in the ACT – the 100 MW Capital Battery which is nearing the end of construction and the 250 MW Territory Battery which is in development.
