Meet Our Team

Our diverse team has over 40 undergraduate students from the Australian National University. Our team members study a wider range of different degrees and use their many skills in the operation of us as a team. The team is split into three main branches: technical, business, and operations.

Technical

Operating as our largest branch within the team, the Technical Branch is composed of engineering students employing diverse technical designing and manufacturing skills to assemble the solar car.

The branch consists of the Structures Team, responsible for the design and manufacturing of the chassis; the Mechanical Team, handling critical aspects such as suspension, steering, and other mechanical components; and the Electrical Team, managing the battery, solar array, and other essential electrical systems.

Operations

From race strategy and logistics to ensuring all team members’ needs are met, the operations branch is data and logic driven to ensure that the team performs as efficiently as possible. Operations is comprised of two teams: the competitions team focused on race strategies and performance, and the resources and development team, focused on acquiring the necessary resources and materials for each of the three branches.

Our connections and partnerships between the University, industry partners and the local community is brought together by the business branch. Our partnerships team ensures that we can acquire the resources we need to design and build a well-operating solar car and our marketing team connects us via social media and events to our community.
